Global research on what AI readiness means for teachers across different education systems is still in its early stages. WISE, in collaboration with the University of Southern California (USC Rossier School of Education), conducted a mixed-methods study, combining surveys and interviews, to examine how K–12 teachers across five countries (Qatar, Colombia, India, Philippines, and the US) are navigating the rise of generative AI in education.
Drawing on insights from over 1,400 teachers, the report provides a cross-country analysis of teacher experiences, identifies systemic enablers and barriers, and offers actionable policy recommendations to ensure equitable and responsible AI integration in classrooms worldwide.
