She is a fellow of the Young Foundation, a centre for social innovation.She is also a trustee of Maslaha, a charity that applies innovation to social issues to work towards a more equal society in which Islam is synonyomous with social justice, compassion and creativity. She is on the Advisory Board of the British Women’s Budget Group, bringing a feminist dimension to economics, and on the Education Advisory Board of Britain’s Channel Four and Balloon Kenya, training young graduates from around the world so they help to grow young entrepreneurs in Kenya. She is also Deputy Chair of Trustees of the charity Women in Prison.
