Shaimaa Aboutaleb is an English language teacher and lifelong learner, driven by a profound passion for inspiring students and cultivating critical thinking through language. She graduated from Lusail University in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching, ranking first university-wide. Since then, she has dedicated herself to creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences that empower learners to communicate confidently, think critically, and nurture curiosity.
Shaimaa currently teaches at Umm Ma’abad Preparatory School for Girls under the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar, while pursuing her long-term goal of becoming a university professor and contributing to the development of future educators and linguists. Alongside her teaching career, she is completing an M.A. in Translation for the Creative Industries at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, where she explores the intersections of language, creativity, and communication. Beyond the classroom, she is an avid reader and an enthusiastic lifelong learner, constantly exploring new ideas, disciplines, and methodologies to broaden her perspective and refine her practice as an educator and translator.
Shaimaa is also deeply involved in competitive debating through the QatarDebate Center. She has participated in numerous local and international championships and was honored as Best Speaker at the Qatar National Debating Championship 2024. During her undergraduate studies, she founded the Lusail University Debate Club, and she currently serves as both a local and international debate judge, fostering youth empowerment and promoting the culture of debate in Qatar and beyond.
