Dr. Salma Waly is the Head of Multilingualism at ISL-Qatar working with 40+ wonderful language teachers of 13 languages in the school’s Mother Tongue, Language Acquisition and Arabic and Islamic Studies programs. With over 17 years of experience in schools, universities, and corporations in the United States and internationally, her work focuses on teacher education, leadership and innovation, curriculum design, culturally responsive practices, and educational technology. She holds a PhD from the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Waly has been recently recognized for her work as part of the Arab America 40 Under 40 Initiative. She is also an adjunct assistant professor at Pace University in New York and the founder of Universal Narratives.
