Sally Hogg
The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood
Assistant Director
Sally Hogg is the Assistant Director for Programmes and Impact at the Centre for Early Childhood, part of the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales. The Centre works to drive awareness of—and action on—the importance of early childhood.
Sally leads the development, delivery, and scaling of innovative programmes aimed at improving babies’ and young children’s social and emotional development. Her portfolio includes research partnerships, initiatives to enhance the quality of the early childhood workforce in the UK, and collaborations with national institutions such as museums and galleries.
She joined the Centre after two years as a Fellow at the University of Cambridge. Prior to that, she held a range of roles across charities and national and local governments, where she led teams to design and implement early years interventions, conducted research, and successfully campaigned for policy change. With an academic background in developmental psychology, Sally has focused her work over the past decade specifically on babies and young children.
She has authored several influential policy and research reports on infant mental health, perinatal mental health, and the impact of the pandemic, and serves as an expert advisor to various organisations.
