Ms Rita El Kadiri

After completing her bachelor degree in Social and Economic Sciences in 2000, Ms Rita El Kadiri pursued her studies in Business majoring in Economics and Finance at the University of Texas in Austin. Following her experience in various positions of responsibility in the business world, she decided to change her career’s field to education, the result of a considerable commitment as a volunteer. Rita El Kadiri has been president of the association “Youths for Human Rights and Citizenship” and launched several awareness campaigns to help disadvantaged youths. Simultaneously, she participated to the creation of the Governance and Economic School of Rabat and has been designated responsible for the student’s recruitment. Her growing interest for education encouraged her to develop her knowledge in this field.
In 2012, she completed her Master’s degree in International Education policy (IEP) at Harvard University and worked as a consultant for the World Bank’s Education department for the MENA region in Washington D.C., before joining Injaz Maroc as Program Director. Since October 2013, Rita El Kadiri is the Executive Director of the Zakoura Foundation in charge of Development and Partnerships.
In 2015, through her commitment for early childhood, she contributed to the development of the community preschool program, consecrated by the Clinton Foundation at the Clinton Global Initiative Summit in 2015. The Tarik Ibn Zyad Initiative Foundation, which recognizes young Moroccans for their exceptional career path, has rewarded Rita with the Hope Prize in 2015.
