Eugene K.M. Darteh (Ph.D.) is a researcher and academic with nearly two decades of experience conducting policy-relevant research and teaching courses in population and health, with a particular focus on the social dimensions of sexual and reproductive health.
His research over the past decade has explored multiple areas, including—though not limited to—behaviour change communication; social dimensions of sexual and reproductive health, including HIV, gender- and sexual-based violence, and reproductive health decision-making; risky sexual behaviour; child and women’s health; urban slums; HIV/AIDS; and the experiences of adolescents transitioning into adulthood.
Eugene is a transformative, results-oriented leader with more than ten years of leadership experience in higher education institutions, bringing extensive expertise in people management and conflict resolution. He is also passionate about mentoring young and early-career academics and researchers.
