Omowumi Ogunrotimi

Omowumi Ogunrotimi is a multi-disciplinary legal practitioner and Lead Director of Gender Mobile Initiative. She has a credible history in policy influencing and technology design for social good. Her most recent and profound work is focused on driving systemic changes, normative and cultural shift through viable policy intervention and technology adoption in sexual assault prevention effort in environments of learning and this is being implemented in over One Hundred Tertiary Education Institutions in Nigeria in partnership with the Ford Foundation.

Omowumi is a Commonwealth Youth award winner for excellence in development work. She was recognized by the Ekiti State Government as the 2021 outstanding personality on gender advocacy award. She is a 2019 Goal Keepers Nominee by the Gates Foundation. She was also named one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Nigeria by the JCI in 2018. She is a 2020 Winner of the 1000 Entrepreneurship Challenge, Africa-France Summit, a 2019 World Justice Challenge Honoree in The Hague and the 2018 winner of the Spindle Public Innovation Award in the Netherlands.
