Netsanet Demewoz Molla

Netsanet serves as Deputy Director of Education at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), where he oversees the delivery of high-quality educational programs across IRC’s country offices. Before joining the IRC in 2024, he held various leadership positions at the British Council, including Country Director for Ethiopia and Education Portfolio Lead for Sub-Saharan Africa, leading education initiatives in 16 countries.z

Previously, Netsanet managed the DFID-funded technical assistance program for the Ethiopian Ministry of Education, overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive 15-year Education Roadmap, among other significant reform efforts. He brings more than twenty years of leadership experience in education, youth development, and civil society within developing countries.
