Mustapha Mokass is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Ailo AI Infra and Ailo AI Compute Fund I, pioneering sustainable, sovereign AI infrastructure across Europe and EMEA. Ailo AI Infra designs and engineers scalable, energy-efficient data centers, offering modular GPU and storage solutions ranging from single racks to full campuses. Its flagship initiative, the Ailo AI Compute Fund I—currently under regulatory launch in Luxembourg with an initial $500 million—supports next-generation AI-centric projects, including data centers, clean energy systems, and hardware, software, and neocloud ventures. The fund emphasizes energy and water efficiency at the compute level to reduce costs and carbon footprint.

With over 20 years of experience in renewable energy across EMEA, Mustapha has led initiatives in wind, solar, and waste-to-energy, both on-grid and off-grid. His career includes roles at the World Bank–IFC, UNEP, Bain & Company, and advisory positions for multiple COP Presidencies. He is recognized for his expertise in carbon engineering and climate finance, having developed blended finance mechanisms that attract private capital to clean energy projects.

Mustapha’s global network and technical leadership now serve Ailo AI Group’s mission to revolutionize data center efficiency and sovereignty. He is a frequent speaker at Davos, UN COP, and global business forums. Academically, he holds an MSc in Environmental Technology Engineering (France), an MS in Sustainability Innovation (HEC Paris), and has completed executive education at Harvard Kennedy School and Stanford University. He was a visiting professor at HEC Paris and authored Fostering a Global Clean Energy Market (2006). He is also an alumnus of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders Community.
