Mojisola Sonoiki
Founder and Executive Director, African Film & Arts Foundation Inc
British born, Nigerian, Ms Mojisola Sonoiki has over 20 years’ experience curating, programming, and consulting on various Film Festivals and Cultural Events around the world. She’s been the juror, programmer & guest speaker panelists on several international film festivals including the BronzeLens Film Festival in Atlanta, the Yale University African Film Festival, Zuma Film Festival, Abuja, Black Filmmakers Magazine Film Festival in London and the Women and Earth Film Festival in Accra, Ghana.
Her production company, Iyàlódè Productions produced WOCAF (Women of Color Arts & Film Festival 2005 – 2012) in Atlanta, a short documentary “Occupy Naija”, an insider’s view of the Occupy Nigeria demonstrations of 2012, co-wrote a made-for-TV film “Mixed Feelings” which aired on the cable channel, Ebony Life TV in Nigeria in 2015 and an awardwinning docu-interview web series “Indigo Tongues” which showcases trailblazers from Africa and the Diaspora. Ms Sonoiki was also the co-host and co-producer on the hit podcast “Not just Nollywood”.
Currently Ms. Sonoiki is the Founder and Executive Director of the African Film & Arts Foundation Inc (AFAF), based out of Atlanta Georgia whose mission is raising the propensities and potentials of African Arts and Culture. AFAF produces two signature events, Cinema for the culture, a monthly screening + in conversation session with filmmakers and the African Film Festival Atlanta.e
