Mohammed Al-Emadi is a seasoned investment leader at Qatar Development Bank (QDB), playing a pivotal role in Qatar’s economic diversification efforts. He manages a portfolio exceeding $100 million through QDB’s investment arm, covering venture capital and private equity investments. He also oversees the Qatar Fintech Hub, the Creative and Cultural Industry Hub, and the Incubation Enablement functions within QDB. Mohammed’s expertise spans portfolio management, deal structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and leading strategic initiatives and special projects.

In addition to his core responsibilities, Mohammed has contributed to shaping Qatar’s broader development strategy. He spearheaded the National Venture Capital Strategy and played a key role in establishing the country’s first private venture capital investment management firm. His efforts support Qatar’s mission to foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and private-sector growth.

Before joining QDB, Mohammed gained diverse experience through roles at Shell and QatarEnergy LNG (formerly Qatargas). He also serves on multiple private-sector boards. He holds an MBA, a Master of Law in International Law and Foreign Affairs, and a degree in Accounting and Finance. Mohammed has also completed executive programs in leadership and investment at Harvard Business School, London Business School, and the University of Oxford.
