Miriam Wachira

Miriam is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 12 years post admission experience having been admitted to the bar in 2010 upon acquiring a diploma in law from the Kenya School of law.
Ms. Wachira holds a Bachelors of Law degree from the University of Nairobi 2005, an MBA in International Business Management from University of East London 2008 and an LLM in International Human Rights from University of Notre Dame, Indiana 2018.
Prior to joining Justice Defenders, Miriam was the Deputy Executive Director FIDA Kenya. She has worked with different human rights organisations including The CRADLE, goal Kenya and Pendekezo letu. In 2016, she was awarded 1st runners up pro bono lawyer of the year by the law Society of Kenya. Miriam’s passion lies in enhancing access to justice for all and putting the power of the law in the hands of the defenceless.
