Lucy Peng

Lucy Peng is the Executive Chairwoman of Lazada Group. She is responsible for driving Lazada’s expansion as an integral part of Alibaba’s ecosystem.
Prior to Lazada, Lucy was the Executive Chairman and CEO of Ant Financial Services Group. As one of the founders of Alibaba Group, Lucy had led various business units including marketing and services divisions, and had also served as Chief People Officer of Alibaba Group.
Before joining Alibaba, she taught at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics for five years after graduating from Zhejiang Gongshang University in 1994.
Lucy was named the world’s 100 most powerful women by Forbes for four consecutive years from 2013. She was also named Tatler Singapore 300 in 2018.
She led various charitable and welfare programs with her colleagues during her time at Ant Financial and Alibaba Group. In Lazada, Lucy was a strong advocate for gender equality and boosting economic opportunities for women in Southeast Asia by signing the IFC-led Digital2Equal initiative. She continues to dedicate her time to helping underprivileged children in rural China.
