Wonderly

CEO

Leandro Finol is a passionate education innovator dedicated to scaling the impact of edtech ventures. His work sits at the intersection of education, technology, and social impact.

Leandro is the Founder of Wonderly, an edtech platform that empowers youth ages 8 to 16 with foundational skills in computer science and artificial intelligence. Through a progressive, year-by-year curriculum aligned with real-world challenges and empowering educators without a technical background, Wonderly helps students become creators—not just consumers—of technology. The platform reflects Leandro’s lifelong commitment to inclusive education, innovation, and global citizenship.

He previously served as Founder and Executive Director of The Idea Center at Miami Dade College, a nationally recognized academic initiative launched in 2014 with a $5 million grant from the Knight Foundation. Under his leadership, the Center became a national model for innovation, launching ten programs tailored for underserved students—including Florida’s largest coding bootcamp, developed in partnership with Harvard University and Babson College.

As an educator, Leandro has taught Innovation and Entrepreneurship at several universities in Miami and Madrid, inspiring students to think ethically and strategically in a rapidly evolving digital economy. Leandro is also an active angel investor and advisor to impact-driven startups. He is the Chief Marketing Officer at Streann Media, a SaaS platform enabling content creators to build their own Netflix-like services; and an Investor and Advisor at Angle, a global photography platform operating in over 500 cities.

Leandro earned a Fulbright Scholarship and completed his MBA in International Management at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Earlier, he founded and scaled DIREC4U, growing it into the second-largest satellite TV distributor in Venezuela, with revenues reaching $76 million prior to its acquisition by a NYSE-listed company.
