Kathleen McKim

Kathleen McKim is an experienced IB librarian with more than 20 years of service leading library and media centers across Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait, and the United States. Specializing in the MYP and DP, she currently serves as the Extended Essay Coordinator, supporting curriculum-aligned research, ethical information use, and the development of strong critical inquiry skills. 

 Kathleen builds close partnerships with faculty and school leadership to strengthen collections, enhance research literacy, and ensure inclusive access so that readers at every level can find meaningful and engaging materials. Her professional contributions span IT strategic planning, Learning Commons transitions, academic integrity initiatives, and participation in professional development and policy committees. 

 She is eager to collaborate with WISE Testbed colleagues and share effective practices that amplify student learning and enrich the research culture within IB schools.
