Julia Kirby

Julia Kirby is the Manager of Research and Content Dissemination at the WISE. Ms. Kirby has over 15 years’ experience working in the education sector, and her current projects at WISE include the WISE Innovation Lab, the Empowering Leaders of Learning Program (ELL) and the Agile Leaders of Learning Innovation Network (ALL-IN). Prior to joining WISE in August 2019, Ms. Kirby served as the Education Advisor at the U.S. Embassy Qatar from 2012 – 2019 where she managed the education diplomacy portfolio for Qatar for the U.S. Department of State.  Before joining the U.S. Department of State, she worked as a Project Director at AED and then FHI 360 from 2009 – 2011, where she managed a number of international development and capacity building projects worldwide, including education projects in Yemen, Armenia, and Pakistan, in partnership with USAID and the U.S. Department of State. Ms. Kirby was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in Yemen and Bahrain from 2007-2009 and earned her M.A. in International Relations from Boston University.
