Elaine Alowo Matovu is a Ugandan educator, entrepreneur, and institution builder committed to reimagining education across Africa. She is the Co-Founder and Resident Director of The North Green School in Kampala—a values-based Cambridge International school known for its bold emphasis on transformational education, digital intelligence, and leadership development.

Elaine also co-founded Musizi University, a liberal arts university-in-development inspired by African value systems and global innovation. She co-leads the Musizi Sustainable Business Institute, which works with African family enterprises to build resilience across generations.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from Uganda’s Law Development Centre. Her career spans legal practice, private enterprise, and over a decade of work in education leadership.

At the heart of her vision is a commitment to raising young leaders who are entrepreneurial, ethical, and employable—equipped not just with knowledge, but with the mindset and skills to create, adapt, and lead with integrity. She champions AI readiness and systems thinking as core competencies for the next generation, ensuring students are prepared for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

Now based between Uganda and the Netherlands, Elaine continues to build learning environments that are culturally rooted, globally aware, and future-fit.
