David Martin Moncunill holds a doctorate in Information and Knowledge Engineering from Universidad de Alcalá (2018). He is a Technical Engineer in Management Information Technology (2011, UAH), a graduate in Information Systems (2013, UAH), and holds an M.Sc. in e-Learning and Social Networks (2015, UNIR). He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Polytechnic School of Technology and Science at Universidad Camilo José Cela, where he also leads research activities and directs the degree program in Robotics Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
As a researcher, David is an expert in human-computer interaction, human-robot interaction, Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, usability, and user experience (UX). He has contributed to more than 25 research projects, most of them at the European level under FP7, H2020, and Horizon Europe frameworks.
Beyond academia, David works as an independent consultant, advising companies and institutions on research, development, and innovation initiatives—particularly in the field of human-technology interaction, with a strong focus on intelligent systems. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
