Dr. Mustafa Osman Elamin is a distinguished Professor of Peace and Conflict Resolution at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, with extensive experience in health, politics, and diplomacy. He served as a Senior Advisor to UNITAR-NCD in Geneva and currently contributes as a member of the Board of the Arab Crisis Team in Jordan, as well as the Board of Trustees for the Council for Arab and International Relations in Kuwait.

Dr. Elamin’s research spans various areas within conflict resolution and contemporary global affairs. He has authored numerous books and articles covering a wide range of topics in social studies.

Prior to his academic career, Dr. Elamin held significant diplomatic roles, including serving as Foreign Minister of Sudan from 1998 to 2006. He also represented Sudan as Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva from 2016 to 2019. Furthermore, he played a crucial role as a Special Envoy of the Arab League to Iraq and Lebanon, facilitating conflict resolution efforts in these regions.
