Dr. Michael Kent Young

A graduate of Harvard Law School, Chancellor Young has served in a broad array of educational and governmental positions, including in the U.S. Department of State, and as President of Texas A&M University, the University of Washington, and the University of Utah, as well as Dean of the George Washington University Law School and the Fuyo Professor of Japanese Law at Columbia University, where he also directed the Centers for Japanese Legal Studies and Korean Legal Studies. He has also been a visiting professor and scholar at numerous universities in Japan and Korea.
