Dr. Mahmud Shihab is the Vice President for Educational Services at the International College (IC) in Beirut, Lebanon, with over 30 years of experience as an educator, consultant, and leader across K–12 and higher education. He has led transformative initiatives in technology integration, curriculum design, and innovation, including spearheading the creation of IC’s STEAM Innovation Center.
Dr. Shihab has played a pivotal role in shaping national and international education technology strategies, contributing to Lebanon’s National Educational Technology Strategic Plan and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for Students. A recipient of multiple honors—including the prestigious ISTE Making IT Happen Award—he brings a deep understanding of how technology can empower teaching and learning at scale.
In addition, Dr. Shihab has served as a lead faculty member for ISTE, where he was instrumental in designing and delivering the ISTE Certification for ICT Coaches in the Gulf States. He is also a certified accreditation evaluator for the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and has participated in the accreditation of numerous international schools across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
