Dr. Anna Halama is a biomedical scientist and educator whose work bridges molecular discovery and human-centered innovation. Trained in metabolomics at the Technical University of Munich, she investigates metabolic deregulation in cancer and diabetes, advancing precision medicine through integrative omics research.

Additionally, she designs immersive, game-based learning experiences that bring medical education to life—using virtual reality to help students think like scientists and care like clinicians.
As Co-Director of the Medical Education Technology Conference (METC 2025), she is helping shape a global dialogue on how technology, creativity, and empathy can transform the future of medical learning.
