Dayoung Lee is a Partner at Dalberg Advisors and co-leads the firm’s global Education to Employment Practice. She works at the intersection of strategy, technology, and systems change, with a particular focus on EdTech, AI in education, and innovative finance. Dayoung has advised governments, multilateral agencies, global foundations, and the private sector in designing and scaling solutions that improve learning outcomes and promote equity.

In India, she co-designed the LiftEd initiative to strengthen the Foundational Literacy & Numeracy ecosystem, integrating a Development Impact Bond (DIB), an EdTech Accelerator, and a District Innovation Challenge. She led the evaluation of a Personalized Adaptive Learning (PAL) pilot for the Government of Andhra Pradesh, which informed a scale-up to over 1,000 schools, and now leads PAL Works, a collaborative initiative to advance effective PAL adoption globally.

She has also shaped EdTech procurement policy, advised a leading technology company on tackling the global learning crisis, and conducted rigorous impact and cost-effectiveness studies, including on COVID-19’s effects on learning with UNICEF. She has deep expertise in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning and has supported several leading non-profit education organizations in developing their strategies. Recently, she guided innovative financial strategies for one of the largest multilateral education agencies.

Dayoung holds joint MPP/MBA degrees from Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School.
