Qatari contemporary composer, songwriter and symphonic artist, drawing on her rich cultural heritage and influenced by her love of world music, her work is a blend of Arabic influenced contemporary classical, epic in scale and universally accessible. Dana is the brand ambassador of the internationally renowned Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO), with whom she recorded “Layla” and “Sandstorm”, her first two albums. Later on, she played alongside the London Metropolitan Orchestra at the iconic Theatre Royal Haymarket in London, debuting with a full programme of her repertoire and bringing Qatari music to a UK audience for the first time, before going off to perform bespoke music at iconic venues around the world. Dana has delved into musical theatre, composing the music for “Broken Wings”, the firsts Middle East musical that arrived to the West End and will be performed in various theatres around the globe in 2019. In October 2019 Dana performed a repertoire of her music at the United Nations for their annual UN Day celebrations, featuring the Qatar Symphony Orchestra conducted by Eimeer Noon who went on to conduct the Oscars in the same year. Currently, she’s working on her fourth album “Crystalline”.
