Secretary General
Bruce Au is the Secretary-General of the Yidan Prize Foundation, where he leads the design and implementation of strategic initiatives that advance the foundation’s mission of creating a better world through education. To date, the foundation has awarded and supported 21 laureates, helping to advance education research and development in more than 50 countries.
Bruce has over two decades of experience in strategic advisory, management, and philanthropy. He previously served as a lead grant-maker in education, youth development, and poverty alleviation at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Before that, he was a founding director of the New York–based nonprofit Character Lab and a strategy consultant at Dalberg Global Development Advisors. He was also an inaugural Global Governance Futures Fellow with the Robert Bosch Foundation’s Multilateral Dialogues Program.
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science degree from MIT and a Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from the Harvard Kennedy School.
