National Secondary Education Coordinator
Beryl Opong-Agyei is the National Secondary Education Coordinator, bringing a wealth of experience across education, training, community development, and volunteer programme management. Her expertise spans education reform, team leadership, educational content creation, and grassroots development initiatives.
At T-TEL, Beryl leads a team of regional education specialists in close collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (GES), to deliver high-quality technical advice and implementation support to strengthen Ghana’s education system.
Her work involves supporting GES at the regional level to enhance teaching and learning, and to ensure the effective rollout of the Senior High School (SHS) curriculum. She assists schools through regional teams and School Improvement Advisers (SIAs) in developing and executing School Improvement Plans (SIPs), facilitates weekly Professional Learning Community (PLC) sessions, conducts lesson observations, and provides constructive feedback.
Beryl holds an MBA in Project Management from Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, and a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education from the University of Cape Coast. Since beginning her career in 2001, she has primarily worked on donor-funded education projects.
Her key areas of specialisation include educational training—particularly capacity-building for teachers—community mobilisation, and volunteer and programme management. She is known for her strong interpersonal skills and her ability to communicate complex ideas in ways that foster understanding and learning.
