Beatriz Pont

Having focused on education policy throughout her career, DR. BEATRIZ PONT is passionate about improving education for children internationally. At the OECD, she supports countries with their education policy implementation and has had the chance to work with Greece, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Sweden or United Kingdom (Wales) in their school improvement efforts. She has specialised on school leadership, equity and quality in education and reforms more generally, launching a comparative series Education Policy Outlook, and an organisation wide project on the political economy of reform. She has published and presented internationally on many of these topics. She also teaches comparative education policy at Sciences Po, Paris, is a thought leader of the Atlantic Rim Collaboratory and member of the board of several education journals and foundations. She has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University.
