France

Agathe was born and raised in Brittany, France. Her interest in world affairs led her to study International Relations and Arabic at Sciences Po Lyon, France. After traveling to Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine for language study and research internships, she pursued graduate studies at Georgetown University, Washington DC, where she is currently a graduate student in Arab studies at the School of Foreign Service. At Georgetown University, she is particularly committed to completing a Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies that will enable her to work towards refugee integration through education.

The sphere of education has been one of Agathe’s major commitments. In France, she organized playful and slow pace tutoring programs for dyslexic students by creating an inclusive pedagogy. In India, she volunteered at the Piyali Learning Center, which focuses on the education of girls in the rural Kolkata area, by being a school teacher. These experiences led Agathe to take part in the WISE Learners’ Voice program and to play an active role in empowering individuals through education.
