Jose Francisco Aguirre Borda

Industrial Engineer from Andes University with an emphasis in finance and organizational development. More than 15 years in consulting and management of a social organization and project management. He started his professional career in the social sector as an entrepreneur and an associate consultant at Compartamos con Colombia Corporate in 2005, where he worked on more than 40 projects about institutional strength, entrepreneurship, impact investment, and sustainable development.
He was the project manager of the first impact investment fund in Colombia, called Inversor. He participated actively in the consolidation of a red in investment, called Red de Angeles Inversores de Bavaria, which has accompanied the growth of multiple organizations where business and social entrepreneurs need support. He was the Executive Director of Compartamos con Colombia. Since 2019, he is the Executive Director of the Santo Domingo Foundation, where he is leading projects in health, environment, and education.
He is also co-founder and promotor of the Detonante Festival, a Member of the Steering Committee of Profamilia, ProBarranquilla, and a member of the Board of Directors of Carnaval the Barranquilla.
