Marianne O’Grady

Marianne O’Grady is the Deputy Country Director for Programs in Kabul at CARE Afghanistan and has been working within the education sector for 33 years, as a teacher, professor of education, Chief of Party, and education advisor. She has worked and supported programs in the US, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, China and Bangladesh. She cares that children and families have the support they need to get the best start in life and has committed her career to that work. Marianne has a passion for travel, cooking, hearing people’s stories, and reading.
