Hejang Misao

Jamkhojang (aka Hejang) Misao is the founder and CEO of Integrated Social & Institutional Development for Empowerment (InSIDE-North East), an organization that is working with and for Children & Youth and Women Empowerment, under the Gun2Pen project. Being brought up in the conflict environment and a victim of gun related conflict and violence, he started this organisation to help those who are directly or indirectly affected by conflict and violence.

Misao is a development and social activist from Manipur with numerous accolades under his name, such as the Sadguru National Award and the President of India Appreciation Award for his passion, commitment and innovation towards inclusive and quality education for women and girls empowerment. A fellow of Changeloomer, Youth Involve, Manava Seva Dharma Samvardhini (MSDS), Misao has over 20 years of experience in the education sector.
