H.E. Moustapha Mohamed Mahamoud

It was in 1996 that Moustapha Mohamed Mahamoud, then a young graduate in geography from the Faculty of Human Sciences of Poitiers, put himself at the service of his country. As a teacher at the Djibouti State High School, he began his career in the Ministry of Education, wherein 2004 he climbed the administrative ladder (head of establishment then head of department then director of sector watch and prospective within the general direction of technical education and vocational training).

In May 2016, the President of the Republic, H.E. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, entrusted him with the heavy portfolio of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training. An accomplished field man, fluent in French and Arabic, knowing all the cogs of his ministry, because he has held all the emblematic positions, he strives to revolutionize his department, by not compromising on quality but by resolutely introducing it, through transformative projects.
