I am old enough that my first browser was Netscape – I started using the internet when the web was a couple of years old and Yahoo! was the biggest search engine around. That was about 30 years ago, and today still only the richest half of the world’s population has reliable internet access. The bottom half, in the meantime, remains unconnected. This is why we created Kiwix – so that people can access internet content without the need for permanent connectivity.

Kiwix has been hundrED innovation for 2020 as well as Falling Walls winner, and it allowed to be ranked amongst the Global Good 100 as well as become a Roxbourg fellow, teaching social entrepreneurship to students from around the world.
