Maria Agnese Giordano

Maria Agnese Giordano is the Global Education Cluster Coordinator, based in UNICEF, Geneva. She has over 15 years of experience in education in emergencies, planning, management and evaluations. Before joining the Global Education Cluster, Maria Agnese served in the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs focusing on planning and evaluations of system-wide humanitarian responses. Prior to that, Maria Agnese worked, in various roles and countries, with UNICEF, United Nations Peacekeeping, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation. Maria Agnese holds a master’s degree in International Education and Development from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, and a graduate degree in Literatures and History from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
