The 2009 World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) convened November 16-18, in Doha, Qatar under the theme “Global Education: Working Together for Sustainable Achievements”.
The premier WISE Summit set out to become a point of reference due to its innovative approach.
The Summit drew leaders and decision-makers from governments, businesses, civil society, schools and universities, international institutions, NGOs, grassroots movements, top-tier media, multimedia, the arts and other creative communities around the globe. By driving innovation through the exchange of experiences and “success stories” – as well as anticipating future trends – WISE 2009 contributed to identifying new education techniques, players and technologies that will enhance human capacity.
Benefiting from Doha’s geopolitical location, at the crossroads of civilisations, the WISE 2009 Summit allowed participants to share opinions and visions while addressing key issues.
