MyBnk

About the Project

MyBnk develops and delivers financial and enterprise education for 11 to 25-year-olds in schools and youth organizations. Working with young people, the project has created high-impact and high-energy financial and enterprise education programs on topics such as saving and budgeting, survival money management, social enterprise and start-up entrepreneurship.

MyBnk has created the first ever youth-led banking scheme, MyBnk-in-a-Box, that allows young people to save and develop positive habits around money from a young age. It provides enterprise experiences by giving young people access to interest-free loans to set up their own enterprise in their local communities.

Young people are at the heart of everything MyBnk does, and it takes a holistic approach to education, catering for audio, visual and kinesthetic learners. Its team is made up of teachers, youth workers and people who have worked in the financial sector. Since 2007, it has helped over 70,000 young people in more than 450 schools and youth organizations learn to manage money and start their own enterprises. Its programs are now being replicated nationally and internationally.
